An Taoiseach Brian Cowen joined some of Ireland’s leading business figures at UCD O’Reilly Hall in Dublin, to encourage Irish businesses to look beyond borders for expansion.

Realex Payments CEO Colm Lyon also participated on the panel at the “Beyond Borders - Going International with your Business” Conference in Dublin. Other leading business figures who spoke at the event included Liam O'Mahony, Chairman, Smurfit Kappa Group and formerly CEO of CRH, Michael Cawley, Deputy CEO, Ryanair, John Moloney, Group Managing Director, Glanbia and Frank Ryan, CEO of Enterprise Ireland. The keynote academic speaker was Thomas Lawton, Professor of Strategic Management at Cranfield University.
