In addition to the comprehensive suite of services available, Realex Payments provide it’s clients with the tools required to manage and greatly reduce the exposure to fraud faced in a ‘card not present’ environment. 

These tools consist of a combination of fraud scoring, payer authentication and CVV checking, the details of which are outlined below.

• Payer Authentication (3DSecure) Verified by Visa / MasterCard Securecode: We are certified by both Visa and MasterCard to provide payer authentication services to online merchants.  This enables merchants to avail of payer authentication with the minimum amount of technical change and disruption to existing Internet applications. This service is referred to as realMPI and allows merchants to eliminate the liability on the majority of their online card transactions.
• Fraud Scoring: We have developed their own comprehensive fraud scoring solution allowing merchants to apply business rules to their sales process. Static Data checking, BIN range restrictions, pattern checking and data sanity checking are all available through our realscore system.
• CVV / CVV2 Checking: We also accept the CVV/CVV2 code and process this into compliant banks. This is the three/four digit code on the back of the card and is to prove that your customer has the physical card with them
• Address Verification Service (AVS): we can process address verification requests into compliant banks. This allows you to check the cardholders billing address with their issuing bank at the point of sale
